A first generation Cuban-American, Alejandro (“Alex”) Garcia was born and raised in Miami, Florida. After graduating from Miami Palmetto Senior High, he left to attend Florida State University and returned in 2009 to attend the University of Miami School of Law where he served as an executive board member on law review and tried cases in criminal court.
Alex began his legal career at a premier litigation firm handling complex insurance coverage, legal malpractice and commercial litigation matters. He later transitioned to a national insurance defense firm where he litigated hundreds of lawsuits arising out of denied or underpaid property insurance claims, employment and labor disputes and professional negligence in state and federal court.
Alex now leads the insurance litigation, commercial litigation, and employment and labor practice groups at Ramhofer Garcia, PLLC. As a seasoned litigator, he understands the complexity and nuances of his various practice areas and the attention to detail each case demands. Alex has tried cases to verdict in state and federal court and has argued before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Florida Third District Court of Appeal. He believes that zealous advocacy and integrity are not mutually exclusive concepts in the practice of law. In addition to providing top-notch litigation services, Alex takes pride in the fact that numerous local businesses consider him a trusted advisor and routinely call on him for advice on various legal issues.
