Workers' Compensation

The Workers' Compensation law in Florida provides various benefits to injured workers regardless of fault or wrongdoing. There are also similar federal Workers' compensation programs that provide benefits to employees such as those injured working overseas under military contracts, as well as those individuals working as longshoremen or seaman in the maritime industry. Unfortunately, injured workers often find navigating the worker's compensation system alone to be confusing and time-consuming. All too often, injured workers are unaware of their rights under the worker's compensation law, experience delay in the provision of workers' compensation benefits, and in some cases, experience total denial of their workers' compensation claim.

If you have been injured on the job, it is important that you have an experienced advocate on your side to advise you of your rights, litigate your case when necessary, and help ensure that you receive the maximum benefits available to you under the law. At Ramhofer Garcia Law, we represent injured workers in an array of scenarios including:

  • - Back, neck, shoulder, knee and other orthopedic injuries
  • - Traumatic brain injuries
  • - Repetitive trauma and exposure related injuries
  • - Construction-related injuries
  • - Claims pursuant to the Florida Heart and Lung Bill, which provides a presumption of compensability (work-relatedness) to firefighters, law enforcement and correctional officers who suffer from certain cardiac conditions such as heart disease and or high blood pressure; and
  • - Catastrophic injuries and death cases.
